Is the X Generation doomed?

i often think about this aswell but from a slightly different perspective since we're from the UK, I just feel the previous generations have left us with massive debts. Back in the 1950s there was many more jobs, but its a completely different climate these days. Until the current financial crisis gets sorted out, our generation will pay the price for the previous generations lifestyle
