Pc virus i use Kaspersky 2010 *Techies only?

I downloaded the respondus lock down browser for my college. I got it through my colleg. Evert time my pc scans Kaspersky goes crazy and says its a trojen. My question is, is can kaspersky diognose a non malicious program with it thinking it is. Im confused on why this program makes kasperky crazy, what should i do?
