Serious laptop trouble.?

Ok. I have a compaq laptop model CQ61-411WM and im having serious problems. It has worked fine since I bought it. I was using it one day it was on the charger with somewhere between 50-100% battery when i plugged in my headphones to it, and it suddenly died and i have not been able to turn it on but once where it worked for about 5 minutes charging. it will barley charge now and refuses to turn on no matter what i do. i need some help. im pretty savy with techie stuff but this is beyond me any help would be greatly appreciated. please and thank you and have a wonderful day.
