How do I set up wifi connection on a Mac iBook?

My uncle just gave me an old iBook and I put the four software restore disks through and reset the whole thing. My question is, how do I set up the wifi, if that is even possible without a card thing? Please dumb this down for me because I'm not a techie type of person! Thanks! :)
