My request for a home loan modification thru Citimortgage/HAMP was approved for trial. I am freakin out.......?

There is a tremendous amount of information out there. Many horror stories and a tiny amount of reassurance. I am willing to give it a try, HOWEVER I want to research the matter thoroughly. They are offerring me 2% interest on a 40 I/O for the first 10.....come on. Really......? Anyone have any insight or any experiences they want to share. I keep hearing about the people who got denied, anyone out there actually get approved for one of these things......if so how? What did you do?
