What are those 2 discs that come with the Mac?

Mac OSX install dvd is so you can re-install Snow Leopard (the operating system) on your Mac in case you decide to re-format your computer. This disc should also have your iLife applications (like iMovie, iPhoto, etc...). The Applications Install DVD has additional software if you have a specific need for it (you not being a techie means you most likely don't need what it has to offer). Keep both of them in a safe place in case the need arises that you need them again. They are both very valuable discs for you to keep.
